Smaragda S. Diamanti
Dr. Smaragda Diamanti is an Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine and Pathology at the Dental School of European University, Cyprus and Major General (MC) Hellenic Air Force Ret.
She graduated from the Hellenic Officer Nursing Academy and the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Dr. Diamanti has specialized in Oral Medicine and Pathology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She completed her Ph.D. in 2016.
Dr. Diamanti has received training in Aviation Medicine at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas. She has further specialized in the treatment of autoimmune mucocutaneous diseases at the Unità Operativa Complessa di Medicina Orale at Federico II University of Naples.
She has served as the Head of the Oral Medicine Department at the 251 Hellenic Air Force (HAF) General Hospital until 2020. In 2015, she was appointed Chief of the Dental Section at the same hospital, a position she held until 2019.
In 2019, Dr. Diamanti was elected Assistant Professor at the Dental School of European University, Cyprus, where she continues to serve. In 2022, she was elected Vice Chair of the Dental School at the European University Cyprus.
Dr. Diamanti has presented lectures and oral presentations at Greek and international conferences. She has contributed to publications in Greek and international journals and has authored chapters in various books.
She has received several honorable mentions and medals from the Air Force General Staff for her achievements.
