Charalambos Economou is Professor of Sociology and Health Policy at the Department of Sociology, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. His scientific and research interests as well as his teaching and writing work refer to the fields and objects of social policy, politics, economics and sociology of health, social inclusion policies, European and transnational social protection policies. His teaching experience, beyond the undergraduate level, includes participation in postgraduate programs in social policy, management, economics and health policy. He has significant research experience as he has participated in numerous international and national research projects in cooperation with international organisations and research centres and institutions, including the World Health Organisation, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, the European Foundation for Living and Working Conditions, and the European Social Policy Network.
