Professor Kenneth Anthony Eaton BDS, MSc, PhD, MGDS RCS (Eng), FFPH, FHEA, FICD, FNCUP, FCGDen (Hon), DHC.

Ken Eaton is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Portsmouth and an Honorary Professor at the University of Kent. He is also Advisor to the Council of European Chief Dental Officers and a Honorary Member of the European Association of Dental Public Health (EADPH).  He is a past President of  EADPH and of  the Education Research and Practice Research Groups of the International Association for Dental Research.  He was the first President of the Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe and has been the president of the IADR Education  Research and Practice-Based Research Groups.  From 1990 to 2002 he was a Senior Civil Servant at the Department of Health (England) and in 2007 was a Specialist Adviser to the  House of Commons Select Committee’s inquiry into the NHS General Dental Services in England.  He is listed by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Periodontics and Dental Public Health.
